Conversion woes

2 Questions:
1. I am using Q2PC1 to build export files of Qantel data files, copying them to a USB drive, then pastign them into folders on the Comet 2007 server. I then use QPCC option 1 to build the files in the Comet directory. I stopped processing for a coupld of weeks while I did the programming converison and recomplied all the object programs. Other than that, connecting to the internet through a router, and installing F-Prot AV on the server, I made no other changes. Now QPCC keep reporting it cannot find the transfer file, even though Windows explorer sees it clearly. I have acess to the directories used. Am I forgetting something? I have removed the AV program, but that has not helped.

2. We have about 1600 data files to convert and some have up to 800,000 records. Using the method described above, we find Q2PC1 stops, occassionally builds a transfer file that will not work due to bad characters (that do not exist in the original data), and has become a very labor intensive process. Does nay one have a better way? We have about 650,000 Qantel sectors of data files.
