Is X a 2.0 or a 3.0 variable? It's a memory flogger but I seem to recall something about FOR/NEXT falling down if the variable length did not allow for the added precision. I think the NEXT bumps always, so X wants to become 100 at the end. The FOR sees 100 is greater than the limit and bags. If X can't become 100 and instead becomes 0 because it's a 2.0 that's where the brainlock occurs.
