XAP Cookie Crash

Everytime I try to delete a cookie (by creating it in the past), XAPMON will lock up, and Comet crashes. Am I simply doing something wrong with this code:

COOKIE$ = 'COOKIE UNAME=garble,-30D'
A$=CONTROL(0,COOKIE$)

Any help would be, well, helpful. Thanks!
