comet 2008 and Ultraedit

Using UltraEdit 11.20b and Comet 2008. When I do to compile a program in UltraEdit, my comet hangs and the compile never completes. The hang occurs in MTB01 at location 0836. If I run capi manually in an existing comet window, all works fine. If I run comet 2007, it appears to compile just fine. Please advise if there is any more information you need.
