Before you go too crazy trying to find a Vista difference, let me tell you that we have one or 2 comet nodes with the same problem, running XP Pro. The browser windows appears, and no data is passed to it. So I suspect there's something else going on thats causing this to happen that may not be tied to the OS. I havent really spent much time debugging this yet. Just FYI
