We agree with Grant that ignoring E44 is a bad practice. Regardless there is a case when you will get the E44 reported even if you have chosen to ignore it. That is if you ever attempt to write > 1024 bytes to a non-extended keyed file. This would be an attempt to exceed the maximum record size.
