Been asked to ask this question.

Thinking that most FORMATs used for this have a DESCRIPTION in there some where?
Such as the following?
100000 I1AREC: FORMAT _ POS LEN DESCRIPTION
101000 INBR$ ;_ 0 30 ! ITEM NUMBER
102000 IDESC$ ;_ 30 30 ! DESCRIPTION
103000 ISORT$ ;_ 60 30 ! SORT FIELD
104000 IUNIT$ ;_ 90 2 ! UNIT/MEAS
105000 ISUQTY ;_ 92 6.0 ! QTY EACH (PCS/PACKAGE)
106000 ISINBR$ ;_ 100 30 ! OUR SUB. ITEM NO.

Would it be possible to establish a 'standard' where by after a certain character or other marker of some sort, that the characters following, up to the EOL or would be considered the "description" and would be imported into the description for that particular field.

In the List View box on the Fields TAB, it might be nice to have the Description as a column also.
