New File in DB Mgr

I'd really like to see messages from folks who have used the DB Mgr to create a new data file.
I just dipped a toe into that pool and I'm ready to run back to QFILES.
Have you used DB Mgr? What were your experiences?
I'm starting a ranting blog.
