That's an interesting question. I can only think of 2 IB statements that use CometLib and therefore require a COM license, (CopyFile) and (Document). The other users are of it are other programming languages connecting thru CometLib. Now (CopyFile) works without a COM license but with limitations. Without COM it requires the user have Windows access to the source and destination folders. Maybe you could attempt a (CopyFile) to a folder that the user does not have Windows access to. It should fail if there's no COM license.

That's probably more than a couple of lines of code, but that's all I can think of for now.
