I fell across a new toy for Vista that may, may be useful.
Hidden deep in Windows Explorer there is a Preview File feature. To open the Preview pane: Organize > Layout > Preview Pane.
In addition there is a tool to add file types to the list that explorer handles. It is called PreviewConfig. It is also well hidden at http://tinyurl.com/6qmfcn.
I had to use the IE7 Find [download] to locate the link!
I was able to add .IBS as a text file and now I can preview source in the Explorer.
