Unfortunately, no. Jim and I could never get the received fax to look the way it would look if sent the old way. Fonts would be wrong (too big), no graphics (logo), and there was additional stuff printed on the fax heading that didn't belong. Basically, it worked as an uncontrollable text printer with no Windows capabilities :)
In Nov '07, I moved my office. In anticipation of that, I signed up with efax.com for one of their fax/voicemail lines. Saved $10/mo over the old landline. Faxes now come to me in Outlook as PDF files. Voicemail comes as WAV files.
efax and others offer outgoing faxing. Basically, you send them an email with the document attached as a PDF. They fax the PDF to the destination. I played with sending faxes from Word etc. But not from Comet. Should be just a slight mod to how I'm emailing PDF's directly. All of these companies have plans and corporate versions so that you can have multiple senders.
I pushing my customers to use PDF emailing direct to the recipient. If they need to fax, they use LPF, which leads them into their fax wizard and the fax goes the old way. Both ways results in an email confirmation to the sender.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
