Comet 2004 Question

I am trying to install Comet 2004 on a few workstations in a Novell environment on a wide area network.

Network 1 is running Cometserve 3.06.
Network 2 is running Cometserve 1.58.

When I launch Comet2004 on Network 1 I do not receive a connection to Network 2.

When I launch Comet98 on Network 1 I do receive a connection to Network 2.

Is this because Network 2 is running 1.58?

Also I have noticed that I cannot run Comet 2004 on Windows 98 unless it is the 2nd edition. Is this correct?

Attached is the startup logs from launching Comet 2004 and Comet 98.
