Comet and Windows Server 2008

I have been browsing to forum and see that no one is really advocating Server 2008 (YET). I completely agree with this, but I was wondering if anyone has tested Comet With Server 2008?

What I am thinking is a 64 bit server with W2K8. This server will be dedicated to running Comet and a Virtual W2K8 for XAP. Will Comet run faster with more ram, processors or processor cores?
Examples:
Will a server with 4GB of RAM run Comet faster than a server with 2GB of RAM?
Will a server with a single quad core processor run Comet faster than a server with a single dual core processor?
Will a server with 2 seperate processors run Comet better than a server with only one processor?
