Compiling by version

Just curious, since Comet32 is still in it's infancy... Is it possible at compile time to use conditional assembly based on current Comet version?

something like:

.if VERSION$ > "607.123"

or

.if Comet2008

or

.ifdef Comet2007

or better yet

.if Comet32

I am looking for a way to tell apart the different versions - between the regular Comet(16), the cosM32 and the real Comet32. This way I can still maintain a single source file but be able to test behavior and differences of different versions. Obviously, this method means that I will have a single executable that I will need to recompile every time I want to test a different version of Comet.
