When I want users to keep away from I file I rename it. So a utility to lock files isn't important to me.
I use SNAPSHOP in a subroutine to determine who has a file opened or locked. With the SNAPSHOT info, I can tell the user the name of the node(s) that have the file open. Nonetheless, it would be nice if the locked status could be added to the NETINQ and WHOHAS screens and SNAPSHOT.
Then there's the question of what can be done for an orphaned OPEN or LOCK, short of closing down all the users and doing a restart on Comet Services.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
