Yes, I am talking about opening/creating the files and looping on a dos read/write sequence, displaying progress as you go. The buffer is certainly longer than 254 bytes. It may be as much as 8000 bytes, but 1024 bytes may be the max.

The point is that you want control back periodically so you can update the progress bar.

In the past we talked about CfileSrv enhancements such as a local copy function, but if the file server were to do the copy, I do not think you would see a progress bar either.
