My past ALWAYS was involved with hardware and my app software. Planned demonstration shows to peddle our stuff. I exist today because of a show I put on that demonstrated Novell, Comet, Windows 3, OS2, Qantel, Apple (remember QTERM for the MAC) all connected to various printers ranging from slow to fast + bar coding. All hardware equipment was installed in a two story office with multiple rooms on each floor replicating a typical small/medium size office environment. It made such a big splash, the ripples are still felt today. Just read an article that could replicate this splash, only for all of us. Microsoft and Cray have teamed up to introduce a $25,000 supercomputer solution that runs Windows HPC Server 2008, which is 64 bit. Imagine a Comet show using this supercomputer. Marketing is splash! All involved dealers could contribute their software or unique hardware to make a SUPER DEMO that would benefit us all. All you need is press. This approach needs thought. My vote would be New York for this. Need a place that's cheap as it can get but not in the ghetto. New York dealers, step up to the plate!! $25,000 is enough, maybe could share this across dealerships that could be used as a tax write off. After show, sell the dam supercomputer. One BIG push!! Thinking BIG tonight!!
