Interested to see how this plays out. At the end of the day, we as programmers need to sell these benefits to out clients (on behalf of Microsoft at times). As always, it's Return On Investment to the people who sign the checks. I would guess that we all have some clients still running Windows 98 or Win2kpro. Most are probably on Xp because of hardware upgrades (or failures). As of yet, we don't have any Vista users and can't see clients switching to it any time soon. For them, the operating system is just a means to get to a Comet screen. Basic email/web browsing can be done on any operating system these days. Some clients would even pull Microsoft if comet would run on an alternate (free) operating system.
