Yes it is my understanding that the 10053 could be indicative of the disconnect. It might be interesting to try pinging the CA host when this is happening. If it can't be pinged then that would explain why Comet is having problems. Otherwise, yes, your suggestion to try moving the CA host to a different machine could be worth trying.
