I ran some tests with the new CFAM server and noticed some (strange) things...
- On non-stop I/O, the data portion of an Extended Keyed file is updated (flushed?) every few minutes, where the Key portion (.I00) is not.
- When all activity stops, the key file (.I00) is updated 12-15 seconds after the data portion.
- A file with a key size equal to the record size yields a key portion (I00) that is nearly twice as big as the data. This is strange for a file that is 254,k,254. Wouldn't expect overheads & keys split to be such a heavy toll.
This was tested with CometServe 8.04 (beta) and Comet 2008. Over 8 Millions records were written with a random key with a mix of write & deletes (10 records randomly deleted for every 1000 written).
Also successfully generated a 12 gigabytes file... More later
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
