Steve - I've included one of the sources for the xml programs that I wrote. I know there is a lot of extraneous stuff for the program, but take a look a the read(xml,...) stuff. I do a lot of 'pos(' stuff looking for the information in the record that I need also needing to strip out the double quotes. Again, if you decide to go this route, would be happy to assist. It sounds a whole lot more complicated than it really is. Marc
