Yea, I understand what you're saying. When we converted last April, I was expecting that I could "convert" to the Cometserve32, and pay some type of upgrade fee. I was a little surprised to find out that I would be pretty much be abandoning the NLM licensing and purchasing a new one. We've been a loyal customer since 1992, upgrading annually as well, so I had mixed feelings about the licensing. But after thinking about it a bit, I resolved to the fact that since the Cometserve32 was a whole different product than the NLM, Signature probably had a considerable investment in time developing it. So after a little thought, it didnt bother me so much. For us, Comet is an integral part of our two businesses, so the investment in licenses and new hardware was justifiable. So far, I've been happy with the CometServe product. As I may have mentioned before, the elimination of Netware client headaches alone was worth the upgrade cost. Our clients run immeasurably faster when browsing network resources than they did with Netware. One final note: i heard a rumor that Signature is offering some pretty decent pricing or incentives right now on Cometserve32, so if you havent gotten a quote lately, you may want to check into it. Best of luck in whatever you decide.
