There has been a lot of flaming on this site about abandoning ole CED and converting to text files. I have always been in the pro text file camp. I thought a little demonstrable experiment might support my case.
Attached to this posting, I hope, is the window from UE's directory search. I asked UE to find all references to VNBR$ in one source directory and report the results in text file.
I had thought I might time this and compare the time to the search in Comet. Fugedaboutit. Instantaneous is the word that comes to mind.
Now why would you stay with CED?
