All RAW is tough. I didn't use much PCL for forms or reports so my transition was easier. At some customers, I've set up the same printer with two definititions. For instance, a 600 LPM Greenbar printer. LP1 is RAW and FFCLOSE. LP2 is RAW only. They use LP1 for reports and LP2 for continuous forms (invoices, checks, etc). Suppose it could be done with laser printers too. Ask Robert, he's big on printers and PCL.
Yes, EmailPtr goes via SMTP and not via an email client. Add a CC to you commands and you can copy the sender or an "archive" account. I've set up "CometMailer" as the "archive". It can be a separate email account or an alias of the user resonsible for monitoring Comet sent email.
I'd rather deal with PDF files than TIFF's. Occassionally I get a forwarded TIFF that I can't read.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
