Yes! You can do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING.
If you use the "Windows" stuff you can basically reproduce anything you've seen on your screen. You can make boxes lines shapes drawings images reverse text rotate anyway you want and use any font or barcode your hearth desire.
You just need to stop thinking 132 col x 66 lines and go to the object model where everything if a drawn graphic and the unit of measure is a pixel (or twips 1/1440")
Once it works on a laser, it works on anything.. Fax, PDF, inkjet, dot matrix and whatever you want.
