If I understand your situation correctly, you should be fine. When the node connects to the security server it uses up the COM license. It also connects to the file server. You'll actually see multiple connections made on the node's behalf. When your CometLib app connects to the file server you'll also see a new connection. If what you're concerned about is some maximum number of connections allowed, the total is configured thru the file server dialog. The default is 250. New sessions from the same node don't connect to the security server, just to the file server.
