Have client that uses me as a catch all for personal home use PC issues.
Employee questions. Employee purchased a retail PC at discount prices. It's a ACER Aspire 64 bit Windows Vista Ultimate Home version purchased last September. 64-bit is here TODAY! Complaint was installing a printer. Installed/Re-installed printer over 8 times. Problem was printer driver was 32-bit. See the problem?? 64-bit is 64-bit and 32-bit is 32-bit. When you purchase, ask questions and make a decision. Since I don't have a 64-bit PC and wanted to test Comet with regard to 64-bit, decided to test installing Comet. What the hell? Try it. Guess what? It installed. Since Sig has stated that it will not work, gave it a try. Was surprised to find that Comet Anywhere seems to work just fine. I tested this, with Barb on phone, for 10 minutes. Logged into Sig's Comet Anywhere test site and got to READY:: prompt and QTILITY. 10 minutes is not much, but at least I got to the READY::. Could others try this experiment and reply? We NOW have all Server side Comet software and Comet Anywhere on 64-bit!
