Hate to break the flow of the forum with a Comet question :)
Working on the preliminaries that might lead to a quote that would be for 10-15 Comet's.
1) There used to be a POS version of Comet. I need something similar. A one screen Comet that can run on a "ruggedized" mini-PC. The PC's would be in areas where there is no cell or wireless. So, they have to do their thing totally independently. It would help if the USB dongle could be bypassed. Don't need anything extra sticking out that could be lost or stolen.
2) Never done touch screen. I'm presuming based on my experiences at Home Depot etc. That, in a Comet Windows program, a button that's touched, or penned (tablet mode) will return a "click". Right?
3) Anybody have experience with fingerprint scanners? Right now I'm hoping to use a PIN methodology to validate users.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
