Oops! Looks like that one didn't get into the IB manual, yet it's been around for years. You'll get E13 on a CREATE of a text file if the dos file exists but there's no qdir. Comet will create the qdir entry for you automatically in this case. This is a popular way to create a qdir for an existing text file that you want to "import" to Comet.
