Vista and Comet Stand-alone

I am trying to run Comet on a Vista laptop so I can make a road trip. I get a message that the Comet Security cannot be found. After working with Jim, we discovered the Marx software had to be updated and that worked (I thought). While working with Jim, I set my comet system to "Demo" mode and didn't realize that the "fix" really wasn't until I was at a client's and discovered the /demo addendum. When I removed it, I received the same message.

Also, my laptop does not recognize the URL, but only the drive letters. Any help would be appreciated.
