You will get that message if the UI gets an error trying to create the tray icon for the security server. I don't know what conditions would generate an error. Brian says he'll check in to it when he returns from vacation next week. This should not prevent you from using the system however. If you check the task manager you should see that CSecSrv.exe is running. The UI is a separate .exe beginning with the 8.04 version.
