Hi Robert. Yes you can overlap gdi objects. The BkMode attribute is for text only. For graphics you would use ROP2 to determine how a GDI function interacts with the display. The program GDI in the DWM folder uses such a technique to overlay one rectangle upon another. I've attached a modified version of WinPtr.Ibs (DMW folder) that will demonstrate the technique.
