I asked Microsoft about the XP Mode feature in Win7. Basically, for app compatability, Win7 includes a license for XP to be run virtually. So I asked, "If have a 64bit PC and a 64bit Win7, can the XP Mode be 32bit?"

From your message, I understand you want to confirm whether XP Mode can run in 32bit mode in 64bit Windows 7 PC. Please correct me if I have any misunderstanding. The answer is yes. 32-bit XP Mode can run in 64-bit Windows 7 machine. The Windows XP Mode (XPM) utilizes Virtual PC 7.0 and RDP (6.1+) technologies to enable seamless virtual application use in Windows 7. Of course, you can run 32bit Virtual PC in 64-bits Windows.

A lot of the techs are Chinese so their answers are good but their English needs some work.

So, if a Comet user wants 64bit and Win7, make sure the PC is virtual capable as well as Win7 capable. Then they'll be able to run any pre Comet 2009 version that can run on XP.
