On my Vista Ultimate laptop, CometExplorer, my List View dialogs, and some windows programs would beep when I moved the highlight with arrow keys, Page Up/Down, and mouse. Because Keith likes this stuff, I'm posting the fix for everybody.

You may try the following steps to fix the beeps issue:
Click Start, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then click regedit in the Programs list.
Locate the following registry subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\AppEvents\Schemes\Apps\.Default\CCSelect\.Current
Right-click .Current, and then click Delete.
When you are prompted to delete this registry subkey, click Yes to delete the subkey.
Exit Registry Editor.
