Looks like you're accomplishing something a bit different than what Steve wants. Steve wants to go to the LOOP statement on the EXCP. You want to just go to the next statement following the EXCP. Comet32 has a solution for you. In release .394 we introduced the NOEXCP option on I/O statements. The link below is for the announcement. Unfortunately I couldn't find where we hid it in the IB manual. I'll take care of that.
