Obviously you can forget about the damn True Type Fonts!!
Yes Glenn, you can print PostNet barcodes directly from Comet using a HP or HP compatible Laser printer (aka PCL printers.)
I have such a routine, I'm tweaking it so it is user friendly (which it already was).
Since I'd like to "sell" this product as there seems to be a large demand for it, I am in the process of putting together a demo package that you could run on your printer to see if you like it or not.
A windows version is also in the works and should be ready shortly.
NO YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY A $800 TRUE TYPE FONT TO DO BARCODES.
If you guys are really interested, keep your eyes on this message board. The postnet for :RAW and Windows printers should be available real soon...
As a bonus, I might include the CODE 128 and Interleaved 2 of 5 Barcodes FREE !!
Both these Barcodes have been tested for compliance with the U.S Postal Services (not yet certified as a vendor).
