Yes! I've been printing using PCL for way too long....

I can print Logos and even use Patterns (for fancy box frames), load soft fonts, use signatures.

I usually load the images in the printer's memory as a permanent Macro and just call them. Started doint this on a Qantel back in the late 80's... Yes, on a Qantel!!!!

I've used Fonts, Graphics, Logos, Duplexing, Paper Tray Selection and all... Even have a form macro language to load the forms as macros in the printer, this way you just invoke the macro once every page when you print your data - makes it real fast !

For the Images, Logos & signature, I wrote a little program that converts a monochrome bitmap (2-bit .BMP) to a PCL image.

Contact me if you wish some help and/or sample code.

Lately I've switch to "cooked" Windoze printing. Too many printers makers switch from PCL5 or do not support the full command set and rely on Windows to render everything. Advantage of Windoze printing is that it works nearly the same on all printers.

Fun Fact:

For you old enough... When loading soft font using a Qantel with a old HP Laser, larger fonts uppercase 'W' could not be loaded because the individual data (pixel) line was too long for the 756 bytes IO buffer...
