This has come up at prior dealer meeetings. February and March get hectic getting in our subscription renewals. And installation of license files goes on into April. We dealers would like a more "self serve" method of getting our license.txt files.
I envision a XAP web site where I log in as a dealer, enter a Plug ID, and get a display of the current license status. A button to Send and a button to Renew. The Send would be for regenerating lost license.txt files. Renew would be a "renew all" option and only for current customers. Any other situation would be done via the old way. At this point a quote for the renewal would appear with an Accept option. Click Accept and the license.txt and a invoice is emailed out.
Credit/Debit card payment would be nice. But I understand the difficulties. Because of the convenience, I'd be willing to deposit "On Account" check(s) at Signature. The renewal site would allow the transaction if I had a sufficient balance.
For me, a site like this would handle 95% of the renewal activity I do.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
