hyperlink question

Is there a way to determine, once a hyperlink has executed, the cursor position where that was used to caused the hyperlink to happen? I have a client that wants me to display a list of invoices on the screen and they want to be able to click on the invoice and cause an action to take place. I know I can do with easyscan and testing for where the mouse was when the mouse was clicked, but I was hoping to use the hyperlink process for this (just looks cooler). I've already tried checking for curpos$ and also checking the sts lun (0) after the hyperlink happens. Both results yield 0 results.
