Is this "feature" a bug?

I discovered by accident that the "FILE (Lun) REVERSE" statement can crash on an Excp 33.

This one program has been in use for nearly 10 years.

Steps are:

Open (Lun) "CPMTS"
FILE (Lun) REVERSE
Position (Lun) Key=CNBR$+'@ff@',Excpsub=ExcpRet
Inquire (Lun,Fmt) .....

The compile source shows that the error occurred on the REVERSE statement.

What happened:

On another computer, I had open the file in QTILITY: 1-MAINT to look at the record layout. I had 1st record EXTRACTED by 1-MAINT.

I'm thinking this Feature is a Bug.

Tested with Comet 2008.398 and CometServe 9.03
