YES IT SHOULD, I WOULD THINK THE NUM2DATE OPTION 7 WOUYLD BE THE WAY TO GO.
I WAS TOO LAZY TO GO AND CHECK HOW MANY DIGITS OF TIME IT WENT TOO.
I AM NOT AWARE OF ANYWHERE THAT USES YYYYDDMM - BUT HEY , WHO CARES, IF WE JUST SAY GIVE ME DATE IN FORMAT X, WHO CARJES IF ONE FORMAT IS NEVER REQUESTED. ( APART FROM BRAB WHO WOULD NEED TO CODE THE SUPERFLUOUS OPTION)

I AM WITH JON ON THE WIKI, THE IMPORTANT THING I STHAT WE CAN TELL COMET TO DO ARITHMETIC ON DATES AND IT WILL DO IT.
