Going backwards reading my posts a few months ago. I don't disagree with Sig's Comet Connect backup solution. It's viable and consistent with today's environment. Basically, it's the cloud. Trusting someone else with your data that's located from east/west across the country/globe? G-mail and social networking stuff. Spreading your personal info around?? Almost sounds like spoofing problems would arise. My clients and me aren't there yet?? It's a up-hill argument and I won't go there and argue. Instead have been exploring NAS off-site backups and USB 4TB once a week complete backups using auto YYYYMMDD schemes as part of the Windows backup directory. Ex: Comet-20091107, Comet-20091114, etc. Also would include any Office, E-mail, Excel stuff also. No, it's not simple. But it's LOCAL!! Sig's solution is GLOBAL!! For some folks LOCAL trumps GLOBAL. Others trump GLOBAL over LOCAL. Take your pick... My business model is that the customer is always right!!
