Recently discovered my office G-bit network wasn't being fully utilized. Have a G-bit Switch but 4-5 year old client PC's have on-board 100. Thought they were G-bit. No wonder I wasn't impressed. Bought G-bit network cards and installed. Start TEST4 tests. 1000/100. Servers are on-board G-bit. Windows cut/paste speed went up 20%. Comet I/O speed went down 10%. Whaa?? Copying files at the T level, whether Comet or not, that's the future...
