Some stuff I've figured out involving Windows directory structure and mandatory periodic MAINTENANCE. Before you can program Comet/Window file I/O you must know the under lying MS structural issues. The use at TERA level cannot be assumed. Before any Windows directory can be deleted ALL files must be deleted first and verified!! Used the following DOS command: DEL *.* /S /Q. This deletes all the files but leaves the directory structure in place. Next step is to right-click on parent directory and click DELETE. All empty dir's will be removed. There could be files that won't delete because of some insane admin reason. If I choose to DELETE, let me DELETE!! What a pain. Just do it!! Can Comet user base make this better?? I think so!! Using Comet tech at the Comet level?? Yes we can!!
