A background defined. Q had *MESSAGE. Enter a TERMINAL (T00,T01,...,T99) and a short 60 character message. Presto the Txx terminal would display the message on the control line. Want to reply, switch screens and run *MESSAGE on your VT6. Once upon a time (WC) was DAA!! Not any more. A localized Twitter at the terrible 2's of yester-year. Thinking about this!! Yea, I want this back!! Why has this been sacrificed?? It's needed!! No blinky, blinky on task bar!! A centered Extended Window with the message displayed with 2 options. OK, REPLY. Just remembering the basic 503/504 stuff that was offered. Skip Email nightmare for inter-office communication. Today, Comet is not centric, (I keep saying this) WHAT?? Relying on what non-Comet solution for inter-office short communications? How to MTB it?? Twitter?? ICQ?? Mobile, Iphone?? Want to promote centralizing Comet?? Do a Comet Twitter. Let's TWEET at the IB level!! Not looking to TWEET with every Comet dealer/user!! That's the forum. I just want my LOCAL/CLIENT/COMPANY users. That's it... Strictly LOCAL!! IN-HOUSE!! If you don't want to use Txx, how about Windows COMPUTER NAME within the local network including RDP/VPN. And you know you can't stay with XP forever. That means skipping VISTA and jumping right into 7??
