none of that matters. IE6 provides a lot of libraries that are required for other windows functions; hence, must install IE6 (or higher?) to get some aspects of WINE working. (feel free to remove all icons after installation.)

i installed IE6 from the crossover menu; it downloaded and installed automatically. worked about 18 hours ago, anyway.
