List Box Selection in 2010 32 version

A user running Windows 7 with 64 bit version is the only one on the system that cannot select from the list box of printers. The printer names are correct in the list box but when he selects or enters the Comet 3 char name in the input box, the system hangs and he must F3/F10 to get out. Any ideas? The list box was created by Visual Studio .NET in C++ for the dll. I will not be able to do a status on the session until tomorrow but if anyone has had this problem, it could save me some time. Thanks.
