To avoid confusion between the message displayed by QMONITOR when a password is entered and an "invalid security system" message displayed by the security server, we changed the wording of the QMONITOR one in REL 3.06. It is now "Invalid Blind Password Security System. Press TAB:". Is that what they are seeing? If so, you are correct, the problem is most likely with the QSTART2 file (you can see for yourself be looking for references to the BADSEC label in QMONITOR.IBS). Perhaps putting diagnostic messages in at the BADSEC label will help you identify the excp causing the problem.
