You can tell by looking at the Comet window a couple of ways. If you're sitting in our QMONITOR it will say Comet32 on the top line where the version is indicated. On any other screen you can tell by looking at the status line of the Comet window. There is a colored indicator that indicates if you're running a Comet16 object in Comet32 or a Comet32 object in Comet32. The indicator will be purple if you're running a Comet16 object and green if you're running a Comet32 object. If you're running Comet16 there is no colored indicator.
Programmatically you can tell by using the PSTAT function. Look in position 218 of the returned info.
