There are a few words that must NEVER EVER be used when describing software -- should, may, might and NEW. I have seen far too many versions of newoe.obj and nucm.obj.
What the "H" am I to call the version I am working on that adds function and feature to OENEW.IBS? NEWNEWNEWOE? VeryverynewishOM?
That's why God created 2.0. You will notice that nobody writes a version 1.0. Fortran started all this with Fortran II. Once there was a PL/1 but nobody believed IBM.
